I am beyond excited to share that Slow Squirrel will be popping up for the whole of July at The Curated Store in Stow-on-the-Wold.
It feels like such a treat. Not only will Slow Squirrel be nestled amongst a beautiful collection of independent brands, but I will actually be there working in the shop too. Properly there. Chatting. Styling shelves. Wrapping treasures. Drinking coffee between customers. It means I get a few lovely days away in the Cotswolds doing what I adore most, surrounded by beautiful things and kind, creative people.
The Curated Store is a thoughtfully designed pop up space in Talbot Court that brings together a rotating mix of independent makers and small businesses from across the country. Every month it shifts and changes, which I love. It feels alive and considered, full of craftsmanship, colour and stories. It is exactly the sort of place Slow Squirrel feels at home.
For me this is about more than just having stock on shelves. It is about connection. Being able to meet customers face to face. Explaining where the ceramics come from. Sharing why I fall so hard for certain pieces. Watching someone pick something up and smile because it is just right for their home. That is the magic.
And personally, it feels rather special to pack a little case, head off to Gloucestershire and immerse myself in shop life for a few days at a time. A tiny working holiday of sorts. A change of scene. New conversations. New inspiration. I have a feeling July is going to be full of fresh energy and wonderful encounters.
