Larder

The larder is, without question, the most important room in the house as far as I'm concerned.

Filled with artisan nuts, olives, golden nectar olive oil and all manner of delicious discoveries, it is the beating heart of the home. The kitchen table comes a close second, always ready for someone to pop in for a cup of tea or perhaps a glass of something a little more tempting.

I love knowing that the shelves are well stocked because the best moments are often the unexpected ones. A friend calling by, an extra place at the table, good conversation, generous nibbles and no need to fuss. Simple, welcoming and full of warmth, just the way gathering should be.
