The Basket Room's Colourful Woven Bread Basket  is handwoven by talented craftswomen working within women led cooperatives in Kenya’s rural Coastal Region. Each basket is made to the weaver’s own design, with individual patterns and colourways, so no two are ever the same.

Woven from sustainable sisal, this beautiful basket is more than just decorative. Basket weaving provides a vital second income for women from farming families, especially during dry seasons when crops and livestock struggle. Every basket supports fair wages and helps fund school fees, food and family life, empowering these women and their communities.
